The Odyssey is the rumored production of the film based on Homer’s story and epic poem with Brad Pitt as cast and also as a producer of the film. The Odyssey is an ancient Greek epic poem attributed to Homer.

The Greek poet Homer who lived ca. 8th century BC
The poem is fundamental to the modern Western canon. It’s likely that it was composed somewhere in Ionia, near the end of the eighth century before Christ, the then Greek-controlled coastal region of what is now Turkey.
The poem mainly focuses on the Greek hero Odysseus (or Ulysses, as he was known in Roman myths) and his long journey home following the fall of Troy. It takes Odysseus ten years to reach Ithaca after the ten-year Trojan War. In his absence, it is assumed he died, and his wife Penelope and son Telemachus must deal with a group of unruly suitors, called Proci, competing for Penelope’s hand in marriage.
Homer is traditionally held to be the author of the ancient Greek epic poems, such as the Iliad and the Odyssey, as well as of the Homeric Hymns. Today the hymns are considered to be later works but many still regard Homer as the author or compiler of the epics.
The ancient Greeks generally believed that Homer was a historical individual, but some modern scholars are sceptical. Some scholars believe that the poems themselves represent the culmination of many centuries of oral story-telling and a well-developed “formulaic” system of poetic composition.
The trailer is not available yet but more information about the movie will be here in time to come.
